This product has been shown effective for the vaccination of healthy swine 3 days of age or older against pseudorabies. Duration of immunity has not been established. For more information regarding efficacy and safety data, go to productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

Dosage and Administration

Rehydrate freeze dried vial with the accompanying vial of diluent. Gently agitate vial and aseptically administer 2 mL via intramuscular or intranasal route. Historically, semiannual revaccination of pigs retained for breeding with this product has been recommended. The need for this booster has not been established. The presence of maternal antibody is known to interfere with the development of active immunity in piglets and additional boosters will be required in most young animals. For more information on revaccination frequency, consult your veterinarian.

CAUTIONS: Store at 2°-8°C (35°-46°F). Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not mix with other products, except as specified on the label. Inactivate unused contents before disposal. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Fetal health risks associated with the vaccination of pregnant animals with this vaccine cannot be unequivocally determined during clinical trials conducted for licensure. Appropriate strategies to address the risks associated with vaccine use in pregnant animals should be discussed with a veterinarian. If allergic reaction occurs, treat with epinephrine. Contains gentamicin as a preservative. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

NOTE: Vaccination with PRV/Marker Gold* vaccine will yield seropositive results in nondifferentiating SN, ELISA and latex agglutination tests. Distribution is limited to individuals designated by authorized officials, under such conditions as these authorities may require.
