Anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit) Pregnancy Warnings

This drug should be used during pregnancy only if the benefit outweighs the risk.

Risk Summary: Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with this drug. It is unknown if this drug can cause fetal harm.

Comments: The manufacturer recommends that women of childbearing potential use effective contraception during and for a minimum of 3 months after treatment.

Animal studies have not been conducted with this drug. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. It is not known whether this drug can cause fetal harm or adversely affect reproductive capacity in humans.

AU TGA pregnancy category C: Drugs which, owing to their pharmacological effects, have caused or may be suspected of causing, harmful effects on the human fetus or neonate without causing malformations. These effects may be reversible. Accompanying texts should be consulted for further details.
