Seysara is used to treat moderate to severe acne vulgaris.
Seysara (sarecycline) is a narrow spectrum, tetracycline-class drug FDA-approved for the treatment of inflammatory lesions of non-nodular moderate to severe acne vulgaris in patients 9 years of age and older.
What is non-nodular acne?
In some cases of acne, a nodule will develop deep under the surface of the skin and may persist, developing into hard cysts. Non-nodular acne typically does not involve these deep cysts, but the more typical inflammatory acne lesions (papules and pustules) closer to the surface of the skin.
