Reason for the Shortage
    • Baxter cannot provide a reason for the shortage of Intralipid.
    • Baxter transitioned Intralipid from Excel containers to Biofine containers in August 2015.
    • BBraun has limited market share.
    • Hospira has Liposyn III on shortage due to manufacturing delays.

Estimated Resupply Dates

    • Baxter has cancelled all Intralipid orders in Biofine containers. Limited quantities may be available for direct order of Intralipid in Excel containers. There is no estimated release date for additional information.
    • BBraun may have limited supply of Nutrilipid available.
    • Hospira has all Liposyn III presentations on long-term back order and the company cannot estimate a release date.
